uninstall game, go into the program files if need be to find the uninstall exe
then delete any files from the game in your documents as well as go to the program files and program files (x86) and delete any leftover files from the game still there. now run a registry cleaner to remove any leftover registry file for the game and reboot the computer.
if the installer finds any game files it thinks the game is already installed so something is there preventing the installation

The 2007 version is an oddly specific request. What was his logic?

Even setting aside the fact that it might offend people, that "Downs" comment was profoundly stupid.
There has been no change in Windows that breaks compatibility with software written in 2007. Software that is much older than that runs just fine on the latest version of Windows. In fact, Windows 10 itself installs files with timestamps that are around 2007, maybe older.
Anyone with even a passing knowledge of computers should know this. It's called "backwards compatibility" and it's a fundamental tenet of how Microsoft does things. I have no doubt that even a person with Down Syndrome should be able to grasp the concept.

Delete system32 and wait a few minutes. Should work fine after that.
eta: it's a joke. don't actually try this, peej.

That's a Microshaft Winblows problem. When the game was made Winblows was a 32-bit operating system. Win10 is a 64-bit and isn't backwards compatible.
You either need an older (XP) computer or a virtual machine on your current computer.

I'm not so sure. I always had to use a VM to run legacy software in Windows 7.
Never had Windows 10. I switched to Linux when they ended support for 7.

So is it pj or peej and why is it known anyway? Thanks

Yeah, thinking about it more, it may not be seamless to run something that uses Direct3D from 2007 on a newer computer. You may need to install DirectX 7 or something. But the notion that someone who tries to run 2007 software on a 2019 PC "must have Down Syndrome" is pretty stupid.
And FWIW I do avoid Windows like the plague, but it's hard to do so professionally. Microsoft hooks the kiddies with PC gaming, and people just grow up assuming Windows is good, but my God what a piece of crap it is compared to Linux.
.NET and SQL Server both absolutely suck arse, too. I honestly don't know how they manage to sell a single copy of that so-called database.

And play.... makes zero sense. My nephew wanted a 2007 version of Tiger Woods golf. My 2019 PC says that it was installed but won’t play......
Just wanted to pop in and remind you that you are still an idiot.

Yep. I use 10 at work. But obviously that means I never had to install a game from a CD.
I have High Heat 04 and Civ 2, and Win 7 wouldn't even read the CD.
