I bought my washer and dryer and my living room tv there. I paid cash for them, I negotiated with them until I got my price and they delivered and set it up for no extra charge.
works for me

extended warranty = sucker
Whatever you say. It worked great for me when I had a power surge and it blew through my surge protector too.

The problem with the extended warranty is you pay say $300 and 90% of the people dont use them. Its kind like you hit your odds with the EW so you shouldnt buy anymore.

It does seem kind of stupid to buy a $2500 TV, and be too cheap to buy the extended warranty for $300, which will add an extra 2 years to the warranty. Just the loaner alone would be worth it to me. To each his own though

Bought my HD TV there....Was looking for a 52" and they made me a deal (cheapest I could find in town) THEN they tell me they don't have any 52's in stock and gave me a run around about getting one in from another store. They backed themselves into a corner and eventually agreed to give me a 56" at the price they quoted on the 52.
The salesmen there may be high pressure at times, but they are also not the most seasoned. If you know how to play the game, you usually win there.

If you buy one extended warranty thats true. The problem is people go buy a washer and dryer and a tv and buy EW for all.Now you paid $900 and you could just replace the one item that might break

Now that makes sense. I would never get a warranty on something that was not a large ticket item.

I've had nothing but great service from Conn's in all the years I and my family has done business with them.

I got a bad arse 42" Samsung DLP from there two years ago for $900. You can't really haggle Best Buy or Circuit City.

You should try to find the tv you want, then attempt to find it wholesale online. All these places mark up the price big time.

I'm actually looking at Amazon.com for it. Does anyone have any experience buying TV's from them?

Conn's sucks. I know someone who was writing down prices of TVs, and got asked to leave because of it. We've never gone back there.

That happened to me at Rex. Is there a Rex in BR? Conn's can't be any worse than that place.

I worked at Conn's for almost two years. Most miserable time in my life.
They have their own credit dept. and take advantage of alot of people.
Sales turnover is horrible. Managers treat you like shite.

Notice what part of town they are in.
Seigen?
I've noticed that their prices on comparable items are generally a good deal higher than Best Buy/Circuit City etc

Yes and it was a good experience. Shipping was free when I bought...you just have to deal with freight shipping. Plus amazon's has a 30 day price match guarantee, and no sales tax.

Thanks for the info. I leaning toward them at this time.
