asking for my friend in Louisiana.

Thanks

In Louisiana, there are two types of “Spousal Support” (sometimes called “Alimony”). The first is called “Temporary Support” (also called “Alimony Pendente Lite” or “Alimony Pending Litigation”) and is awarded to a spouse who does not have sufficient income for his or her maintenance pending the divorce. The most important factor here is the standard of living which existed during the marriage. Temporary Support is designed to maintain the status quo of both spouses’ living conditions to the extent that is possible.

The second type of spousal support is “Post-Divorce Spousal Support” (also called “Permanant Alimony”). Post-Divorce Spousal Support is designed to provide the needy ex-spouse with the basic necessities of life. Post-Divorce Spousal Support can be awarded to an ex-spouse who:

– Is found to be free from fault in the breakdown of the marriage; and

– Does not have sufficient means for his or her own support.

sure you are, just hire a tough lawyer, one that has a track record of success in this field because his rapport with the judge will mean more than his/her legal skills at this point the gloves are off

While I agree with this, I'm glad I hired a guy who knew what he was doing also. I watched him absolutely screw my soon to be ex today in our mediation. It was a thing of beauty. Worth every dime......which she had to pay.

Perhaps a family law attorney would be the best person to answer your "friend's" question.

Not a bad one either. You want the nastiest bulldog your "friend" can find.

His wife will be looking for that same attorney.

Where in louisiana?

If shreveport area just hire ron miciotto and you will get best possible outcome. He is a dickbag, sleazball, arse munching count.

But you will get best possible results for your case

Yes, and generally over 100%.

Take a reasonable amount of spousal support for a reasonable time

Add an extra amount for hurt feelings

Multiply by how much the divorce attorney hates you

Total comes out to everything except what you need to survive

Your friend is about to get "Divorce Raped" unless his wife has a good career of her own.

Even then, it can go whichever way the wind blows that day.
