Mine didn't do this after the update. The government is after you.

It tracks where you go and the timeframe that you go there.

With the new iOS update, it can even go into detail on the apps you use. For example, I sometimes do Happys Running Club after work on Tuesdays. It knows the time/place and will even have the MapMyRun App ready and waiting for me to use when I get there (check out the lower left hand corner on your iPhone to see the app)

I'd imagine if you traveled for work every Monday morning and used Waze each time, it would do the same thing.

It is pretty cool, IMO. Very helpful

I just found out about this the other day. It popped up 24 minutes to Houma. Just now it said thirty minutes to get home. What if I wasn't going home!? And I tell you what. It better be faster than a half hour to get back to thibodaux. I have got shite to do.

considering at ~5pm every weekday for X weeks in a row you leave the same location and arrive at your house it's not too hard. I love the new feature.

But today I'm going to my camp when I get off. Never told my phone shite. When I crank my truck up to leave work it says 110 miles to St. Joesph, traffic normal. How in the shite does it know where my camp is and more importantly, that I'm going there?

on my android i asked google where a lunch place was located that i was meeting people at.

an hour later i got up to use the bathroom and the phone buzzed me and said i had to leave in 2 minutes to make it there on time.

somehow it found the same name in a meeting invite and because i asked google search where it was..it put the 2 things together & figured out what time i should leave.

I'm banned by my wife from discussing the possibility that having everything we do tracked at all times is bad. She said it makes me sound paranoid.

wait until you and your wife are discussing taking a trip to the Caribbean and you go over and pick up your phone and type in the letter 'c' and the first suggestion that appears is 'Caribbean travel'

eta this has happened enough times to me i'm starting to get really uncomfortable.

I made dinner reservations. The restaurant sent me a confirmation email. My phone pulled that information and sent me a calendar reminder and said I needed to leave my house by 6:05 to make my reservation at the restaurant. It was creepy.

This exact thing happened to me the other day. Creepy, but awesome. I knew to close out my drink tab and head to my reservation.

1. GPS is the answer.
If you have GPS on, your phone company can track you.

2. all the other issues are related to knowing where you are now and where you have been before, and the street you are on.

Turn off the GPS feature unless you need it, then turn it on, and then turn it back off.

You can't turn off E911 location. It'll still know.

Nothing to do with the calendar. The Google maps app or GPS generally tracks where you are going. It also tracks on which days and times. So if I get in the car on a Saturday morning it will tell me about traffic going to football practice and not work.
