Honestly why does anyone care about any of this stuff? Of course everyone here will make it political. That’s what this board is for ever since Trump got elected. Inflation has always gon up and gone down. I know a guy who’s son has let it take over his whole life. Constantly posts on the internet, attending rallies, refusing the vax, the whole yards. We’ve talked and I just shake my head and so does my friend. These things come and go. One day she will wake up we all know it. The bottom line is y’all Trump supporters who voted for a Republican have made everything too political when it’s best just to let these things go and aw frick my wheelchair fell over

Because it is. Gas was well under $2 a gallon a year ago. Now it’s over $3 and climbing. Not to mention the absurd cost of everything else.

They sure do. They’re constant and never disappear under every liberal mental midget in charge.

i wonder how long this administration and its media mouthpieces can run with the “transitory” angle. I’m sure our local economics experts like mmmbeer, The Spleen, Oweo, and dawgfan will be here soon to give us a totally unbiased Econ 101 lesson.

Just buy Bitcoin and let the chips fall where they may

Every fiat currency in history dies. Some have a good run while austerity is in place but gradually in the name of growth or stability people allow for more and more irresponsible fiscal politicy followed with a required equally irresponsible monetary policy.

ETA: You downvoters aren't gonna make it if you are hitching your wagon to cash.

If this is a trial run for UBi, its a failure.

Our population isn't intelligent or moral enough to get "free" money" without it affecting their productivity.

(If we’re going to have political threads on the OT, we could at least have some of this humor to go with it)

This almost got you an upvote... almost. I do think there are political factors (government) that are in play here, however.
