My 13 yr old had a chocolate Hulk right before dinner tonight. That would knock me out.

You sound like one of those grumpy old men that complain about everything that has never actually been inside a Starbucks and naturally thinks that is the only drink they offer.

I get Starbucks frequently (they have one inside the hospital I work at). Lots of options that are not full of sugar and calories.

ETA: I haven’t had a Frappuccino in several years. No one that gets that thinks it’s a regular coffee drink. They just want caffeinated dessert.

Sorry to offend you but as a nurse you should know that drinking a milkshake for breakfast is bad.

The only people confused about Starbucks and coffee are these nimrods who come in every thread about SB to day something about a $8 coffee. LOL
Normal people know what coffee is

I don’t drink a milkshake for breakfast though.

Again....educate yourself on the menu at Starbucks. No one at Starbucks is tricking anyone into anything considering the calories are listed on the menu next to each drink and size offered

And most people still go for the sugar and calorie filled ones on a daily basis. Pretty much all the most popular drinks have at least 40g of sugar.

I'd like to know how much Starbucks has contributed to rising health care costs.

Big on personal responsibility?

Far, far, far less than the traditional fast food chains, candy, donut shops, tobacco, etc.

Like I said....calories of drinks are on the menu.

If people chose to ignore that, that’s on them and not Starbucks

And you can easily modify ingredients in popular drinks to have less sugar/calories

Yes I am big on personal responsibility and fully agree people have the right to do this to themselves. I'd still like to know the answer though.

Nice try at a "gotcha" though libbie.

When I go to Starbucks (rarely) I get a grande black coffee. Cost me a buck basically. I don’t see the big deal.

Ok.

So it is like having a can of Coke.

Let’s stop acting like Starbucks invented sugary drinks.

Then you wouldn’t ask that question. Because Starbucks didn’t contribute. People’s choices did.

Ans your avoidance of all the others speaks volumes.

Myself as well.

I don’t think their coffee is that good. So, I don’t go often.

I like Dutch Bros more, but I can’t stand sitting in my car for 25 minutes.

Hey I have an idea... how about instead of trying to fish for arguments based on semantics, you come up with a unique contribution to the thread for a change.

Gee isn't that a swell idea?

It ain’t semantics.

Ans that is rich considering your post. Not unique contribution.

It'd be very little if people had self control. If people stopped buying their shite so frequently then Starbucks would adapt.

The problem is Starbucks has no incentive to change. Sugar is addictive as frick and people have no concept of moderation.

That drink should be a very occasional treat. Not a weekly and certainly not a daily staple.

But don't try and tell Brayleigh who is 5'3 and over 235lbs that she doesn't need to have three of them a week with whatever other slice of cake she gets with it for "breakfast" even though she gets winded reaching for a file from her desk drawer.

Oh I don’t get Starbucks everyday. Maybe once a week if that. And when I do I have to be very selective so it stays within my WW points.

Usually I only have one cup of coffee a day at home before I leave for work in the am. I’m the only one that drinks coffee at home so Keurig coffee is fine for me.

Today I needed an energy boost at work this afternoon so got an iced coffee. Gave me an excuse to get up and walk around a little.
