Considering relocating and changing jobs. I would have anywhere from a 45 - 60 mile commute each way. So right at an hour driving time as it would be all highway with very little city driving. Just curious how far/long the average commute is for the OT.

I commute from North of Walker to BR. 22 miles from my house to work and it takes around 45 minutes. I've thought many times about moving further out towards Clinton/Jackson area and still having the same drive time.

15 miles. Might as well be 50 in BR traffic.

25 minute metro/walk or about the same to bike. Both way faster than driving

I recently went from being out of town 5 days a week to now sleeping in my own bed every night and making a nice easy 25 minute commute each day. Its very nice.

25 minute door to door. 10 minute walk or so and 15 minute metro ride daily where I can read/listen to podcasts.
Pretty good life compared to the 50 minutes at my old place in Virginia

I have a 45-50 minute commute that is mostly highway miles as well. It has its pros and cons. I can get some work done over the phone on the way there and back. By the time I get to the office, I'm ready to go for the day, and by the time I get home I'm 100% in family mode. The obvious cons are the extra costs associated with that mileage as well as the extra 1.5 hours or so a day that I'm not in the office nor am I home.
So far, so good on my end, but I can imagine I'll want to cut down on the commute if/when an opportunity presents itself down the road.
