Or how a vehicle works with no capability to build one. A lot of the general knowledge one individual might have would be useless. It would be more useful to know how to farm, fish, hunt or ride a horse

Most people would probably adjust to most life conditions of the past - manual labor, getting information, getting food, temperature modulation, etc. - with a little time. It’s dealing with the lack of modern sanitation and modern medicine that most people would probably find intolerable.

Well, I said 'up to'. It would depend on wind speed and if all design elements are incorporated.

I really don't feel like writing a dissertation right now but I'm telling you from experience that you would be surprised how much of a difference the following can make:

1. High ceilings - hot air rises and low ceilings keep the hot air that rises in contact with occupants.
2. Uninsulated wall cavities - promote air movement within the walls to prevent heat build-up and retention
3. Gaps at bottom of baseboard and top of crown - for the above
4. Functional transoms above doors - promotes airflow while maintaining privacy with the doors closed
5. Large undercuts on doors - same as above
6. Large walk-through windows - airflow
7. Large exterior double doors - airflow
8. Sidelights - airflow
9. Hard floors - cold contact
10. Hard surface furniture - cold contact
11. Centre Hall design - airflow
12. Front and rear door inline - airflow
13. Large eaves - keeps sun off exterior walls
14. Deep wrap-around porches - same as above
15. Front door/elevation facing summertime prevailing winds
