I am completely ambivalent. Never seen a or heard a TikTok video that I know of. I purposely avoid any and all links to it.
Am the same with FaceSpace, X, podcasts, etc..

But also because Tik Tok has some right-wing content that isn't being algorithmically snuffed out.

The only thing the government gives a shite about is that china is playing the game better than them. They want to force the sale of an internationally owned company so that they can have more control over it, not to protect anyone, but use the same platform the same way the chinese use it.
No one should support this.
ETA: And the fact that it was included in the foreign aide funding bill is a bright, shining example of why our system is fricked.

It's what I watch when I'm taking a poop. Much more entertaining that Instagram and X. Don't even check Twitter/X anymore as it's just a bunch of people yelling at each other, couldn't tell you the last time I laughed at something on there. And that's all I really want to do on any of them.

That scares big Government more than it being Chinese owned. Government can control what’s on Fb and Instagram to an extent. They can’t control what’s on TikTok.

I have never used TikTok since I believe that it is a Chinese spy device. I don't really care if others use it but think it should not be accessed from government issued devices.
