How does the OT feel about people talk on the phone for the entirety of their lunch?

Title is pretty self-explanatory. This woman just sat in the break room for like 45 minutes to eat her lunch and was on the phone the entire time. My issues are first who do you have to talk to for that long, and nobody wants to hear one side of your conversation. Also, this isn't a one time deal, I see this big heffer on the phone everyday while she's eating. What say you?

Dear diary?

I post on TD during my lunch break, I don’t see why it’s such a big deal to you.

It's weird. I feel the same way about people that I see walking in my neighborhood on the phone or in line at the store. I don't like talking on the phone in public.

Well I don't really like talking on the phone at all if I'm being honest.

It doesn't annoy me, it just usually seems like someone is just sitting there with the phone up to their ear.

Occasionally you'll get some rude person with it on speaker or something and they're still just sitting there, with almost no dialogue

Do people just hang out on the phone w/o talking?

It's her break and it's her time to do whatever she wants with.

I was behind a nice young lady at Walmarks the other day, she talked on the phone the entire time she was checking out.

Of course it took twice as long

This is one of my biggest peaves. Not only does it slow everything down, I find it incredibly rude. It's like you don't even acknowledge the cashier's existence enough to stop your conversation. I won't even do it in a fast food drive through. If I have to have an interaction with someone I won't be on the phone.

Was behind this girl the other day that was talking on the phone until she got to the cashier, lays the phone on the counter during the entire checkout and then picks it up as she walks away and immediately starts talking again. Who the hell hangs out for four or five minutes waiting on the person to come back on the line?

whats worse is the ones who do it throughout the day. got one lady that talks to her family like 15 times throughout the day. probably 4-5 times about dinner alone. then goes home for an hour 1/2 at lunch and comes right back to talk to them. her daughter is 30 with a kid and lives at home...talk to her on your lunch break. jesus.

I work with a guy whose wife calls him 5-6 times per day. That shite would drive me crazy. If my wife calls me at work something is wrong.

If you have an office you don't have to worry about things like this.
