quote:Never have regretted not getting married because I never met anyone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I have a niece and nephews, and a great niece and great nephew, I spend time with.
Do you ever regret it? And do you ever feel lonely?
Don't really get lonely, but I do get antsy, and have to get out of the house nearly every day.

Find a physical hobby. Running, kayaking, weightlifting, etc. You’d be stunned to see how much better you feel after physical activity. Everyone has periods of existential dread, so just kind of keep that in your mind. Life basically means nothing and in the grand scheme of things, nothing any of us does really matters. But that’s ok. Learn to enjoy a good sandwich and your loved ones

I think he’s got the physical part down. But you’re right, enjoy the little things.
I think as Americans we always think about more as the answer. More activities, more money, more time. Only problem is time is the one thing you can’t get more of. But you can appreciate it more. Which means using time more carefully.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned in 7 pages but I’ve been through it and I can’t tell you the miracle that happened after getting right with God and specifically Jesus.
What started as some quick prayers at night blossomed into a very special and intimate relationship and life is now FUN!
Been at it about 7 years and I don’t even have bad days anymore, I have bad moments. It’s up to me if I let moments ruin the whole day. Too many blessings to feel down.
And a quick fix:
When you’re feeling down, make a gratitude list. Number 1-20 on a sheet of paper and just start listing things you’re grateful for. Family, friends, electricity, pillows, anything. You’ll feel better when you look at that list and realize many, many people don’t have a fraction of what’s on it.

Getting the Jesus does work for some baws. I tried that, went through the whole song and dance and came out Pagan. Danced with full on atheism for a while there.
Believing in something, even if it’s nothing, is important though.

How Does the OT Deal With Depression?
Cocaine and prostitutes.

I'm in good shape, and I force myself to get a work out in at least 3 times a week. What else can I do? And how does the OT feel about medication for depression?
If you need it then take it, and do not care about what people think.

It could be low T if you feel like crying. It’s at least worth a shot to get your testosterone levels checked before you start on antidepressants.

About 20% of people are nonresponders.
That number is actually 30%. There are other options though like TCMS and as a last resort ECT.

Yes, and it's THAT 60% of the world I go to look at the poverty and destitute portions to gain a better perspective to take me out of my depression. Sometimes I wonder why God doesn't love those people.

For me for what it's worth when i lost my general motivation is when I felt I was depressed.
