How does the Egg Roll House stay in business and why has Shake Shack not bought them out?

Shake Shack’s parking lot is essentially worthless for anything bigger than a smart car. The Egg Roll House is always completely empty yet they are always open. Obviously it’s a front but I’d have to imagine shake shack could buy them out and make a bigger parking lot. Discuss

If a nuclear bomb hit Metairie, only two things would survive, Roaches and Egg Roll House, and luckily they are both in the same spot.

The line for egg roll house was down veterans lastnight. I have no idea who eats there or how it stays in business but it was packed lastnight.

Egg roll house does more business than you are giving them credit for. Most people use the drive thru though, so they aren’t parked out front

I’m only poor now, but when I was broke I would frequent this establishment before going to work, and have no complaints. For reference, it was the mid 1980’s and the wall menu looked like a tote board at the airport.
