She may drink a lot because she watches your kids 3 days a week. Hire childcare or send your kid to daycare you bum, and maybe your MIL will sober up and become the person you want her to be.

Partially broke up with an ex because of her parents before I was going to buy the ring, so I didn’t. Wasn’t that they were pathetic, but that her father quite literally celebrated and might have been involved in lynchings that happened in his youth, and thought that would be a bonding point for the two of us since I was from Mississippi. Obviously I’d be for lynchings if I was from there. Looked it up later and those three lynchings actually happened. At best I’d try to let my kid around him as little as possible since he’s an overt white supremacist (an actual one not like the Woke claim everyone is), but it was a major factor in me breaking up with her. From what I hear from mutual friends, she and her father are no longer on speaking terms.
