Honestly feel bad for you. In addition to having bad in laws, you have to hear from all your friends who have great in laws that take them on awesome vacations, let them stay at their beach houses, etc. There's no good solution. Hopefully your wife recognizes the problem and doesn't blame you. If you and her grow closer over this that can be the one good thing about this bad situation.

That “free” day care comes at a price. Drop her arse and pay someone to watch. That will be a come to Jesus moment. Until you guys bite the bullet you and the wife are going to continue looking weak to them. Just how it is.
