Like the baby boomers genx millenials, so on so forth? And when did the whole generation naming thing start? Its not like that something that can be traced back thousands of years.

Somebody just says I’ll put these two completely different generations in the same bucket and call them "millineals".

Baby boomers = massive increase in babies after WW2

Millennials = change to the new millennium

Hopefully we have “The most savage generation” soon where they cull the fold of all these whiny little pissant pussies.

Yeah aren't millenials from 1984-98 or something?

It all started when the Census Bureau referred to the years between 1946 and 1964, during which birthrates rocketed up from around 3 million a year to over 4 million a year, as the "Post War Baby Boom." That is the only time a generation's "official" name would come from a government organization.

Subsequent to that, it's been a matter of throwing stuff on the wall and seeing what sticks. Even for generations that preceded the boomers. Popular culture generally dictates the ultimate name the generations have. There is really no consensus on timelines either.

what?! If you were born between 75 and 85 you were a 90s kid. I'm sorry but if you were in high school during 9/11 you are no millennial

So 1978 is still Generation X? I hope so. "Generation X" still sounds hardcore as frick.
