This. You handled the situation poorly.

They will make your life miserable in a situation like this if they are able. Why didn't you just give the lady your social security number? All of our SS#'s are all over the fricking internet anyway.

The watching while you pee is normal depending on the type of test.
Also probably shouldn't have argued with the lady.

People who are educated with a cheerful attitude don't generally apply for these jobs.

That's really f-ed up, but did you ever consider that there are some people that you need to just let be an a-hole because they're in a real position to screw you over? Some things, like job offers, are more important than your pride.

If she screwed me over with the drug test, I can just imagine what she'd do with my social. The only time I ever give it out is in job interviews when they have to check to see you are a legal citizen and when dealing with banks.

I went to take the test and returned it to her only to be told I did not have enough of a sample. I was annoyed and went back to the waiting room and asked for some water. I drank 3 small cups and when I asked for another they said they aren't allowed to give more than 3. Then how do you expect people to pee? I told them I was ready after 20 minutes and an hour passed and I was still not called back so I asked to speak to the manager.
you handled this poorly. obviously you didn't pee enough. and they aren't allowed to give more than 3 cups of water because it would frick up the sample. also, you aren't allowed to test for at least 30 minutes after drinking water

Pretty sure if you would have just given her your SS# in the first place, you would have been out of there in a hell of a lot less time than 2.5 hrs.

These are some reviews of the place:
Do not go here if you want to get in and out in a timely fashion with adequate patient care and interested medical care professionals. The nurses will tell you anything you want to hear to get you in the door with a disinterested tone; and the doctor will barely look at you as he quickly diagnoses (or not diagnoses) what he thinks you have. I ended up going to Advanced Derm and Family Health and saw Melissa M Brown who did a remarkable job taking her time with me, talking to me, and explaining to me treatment options. She was great, Redi-Med was not.
Horrible! I went to redi-med on a whim due to not being able to see a droctor at Oshner on short notice. The "doctor" failed to notice my injury had a staff infection. Consequently he prescribed the wrong meds. Days later the injury was still red and swelling. I was able get an appointment with a doctor at Oshner who immediately noted the staff infection and prescribed the correct meds. The Oshner doctor asked who I had seen and where. When I outlined redi-med the doctor just shook his head in dismay. Redi-med charged me $85 for nothing, even with medical insurance, add to that a total lack of medical knowledge the redi- med doctor I felt was unprofessional, and condesinding toward me. I wouldn't take my dog there!

All they had to do was tell me that instead of do things behind my back.

You pooted while peeing in front of him, didn't you.

I would report it directly to their office via a letter from my attorney indicating I was suing their arse if I lost the job offer.

I would have been pissed! I think you handled it correctly. Taking another test with the guy watching is pretty much fail proof. If you have no reason to fail then you should be good. I'd file a complaint for sure.

There was no need for my ssn so I said as much.

Did you mix your second pee with your first pee? If so of course it would be cold since your first pee sat out for so long.

They immediately threw away the first sample.

I think the bitchy lady with an attitude tampered with my sample.
You have no idea whether she did or not. She probably doesn't care enough to bother, but isn't inclined to give you benefit of the doubt if the sample size is marginal. Next time drink more water before you go.
