Got into some briars the other day and a thorn wedged itself into my finger. Damn skin has grown over it and I can't get it out. Finger is swollen and hurts like hell to bend. Tried to soak it in water with salt and it didn't help at all. Anyone have any advice? Do I have to worry about getting some type of infection if I don't get it out somehow?

Get a sewing needle or thumb tack. Puncture your skin. Squeeze it out until you can grab it with your teeth or a pair of tweezers

Slice it out baw. I've had one seed wart in my life and it was on my hand. I cut it out with a buck pocket knife.

But I just remembered that you worked on Hillary's campaign.

It will usually fester Up after a while. When you squeeze it, the thorn will come out.

Just suction it out with your kid’s medicine syringe.

Will give this a try. I tried to break the skin by just squeezing it and it brought tears to my eyes. This seems like a better option

Stick your finger up your liberal arse and see if it works itself out.

Magnifying glass , good light source, sewing needle, tweezers
If you score/cut the skin above the thorn, properly applied pressure may allow it to pop right out

You don’t. Let it heal as it becomes one with your body.

Cut finger off, remove thorn using pocket knife, reattach finger.

Why wasn’t it removed immediately after it went in?

How long does it take to fester up usually? If not long this option seems a little less painless
