The ones actually battling the virus I have a lot of respect for.
If you are sitting in the ER with your thumb up your arse, not really a hero.
Same as a guy on the front line in battle I respect a different way than the guy who does Desk work in the Army. Both are important, but one is not risking their life.

Just saw a Healthcare Hero Lives Here in a yard down the street. Hope they aren’t too exhausted dealing with the 20 cases in Lafayette

Here ya go pal:
I'm an RN for 22 years. No hazard pay, buy my own damn lunch, dog tired after minimum 12 1/2 hours on my feet on concrete floors, and not one person has congratulated me on my work except my coworkers. Yeah, I'm tired of it myself.
Maybe if you git off of that TikTok thing you wouldn't feel so resentful. Just a bunch of silly girls on there, well, being silly girls.
Btw, I'm retired military so every so often get a discount that way. Never because I work in healthcare.
Rant over.

Cheers mate.
These are the good ones.

As we’re getting deeper into this pandemic, I’m starting to lose admiration for these nurses and starting to feel resentful towards them.
Nurse < Teacher < Hairdresser < Dental Hygienist
Doctors and nurses really showed their hand this pandemic, what a bunch of attention whoring losers. Good to see them out themselves for the POS's that they really are. Now they want to be heroes? What a fn joke.

Maybe you should've got a nursing degree instead of that Liberal arts degree pussy

4-5 weeks ago, when this thing first hit us hard (primarily Jefferson and Orleans) everybody(in healthcare) went to work amid fear of the unknown, multiple reports of healthcare workers dying around the world, lack of PPE, patients dropping like flies on every floor, the ER full of covid patients, the icu's full of covid patients, concern that we were going to have to start rationing healthcare, confusion over all aspects of this illness including transmission and if any treatment worked.
Yet nurses, docs, techs, therapists, janitors all voluntarily showed up to the hospital and just did their job. Many have gotten sick, many of their loved ones have gotten sick, and some have died. none of them asked to be called heroes, but if the media decided to, who cares? who's your hero? obviously you're too stupid to understand this environment that was going on in the hospital, or you're just such a tool that this bothers you, I suspect both
and the few overly dramatic, histrionic facebook 'heroes' don't represent the thousands of healthcare workers just in LA
TL;DR: you're a tool!

The vascular sonographers are spending 3-5 hours a day in direct contact with covid patients, with over 60% of the ICU patients developing blood clots the Critical Care Docs are order scans on nearly every patient.

I go in all my patients rooms. for me, I'm not asking anybody to go in a room that I won't go in myself; there's been a hypercoaguable issue with covid patients, but they should still only duplex people with signs/sx's of a clot

It honestly sounds like you are jealous that YOU are not getting the attention
The good news is that there is a simple fix - get the frick off of social media if you can’t handle it.

Last night I saw a nurse on FB post this diatribe about Kemp (GA Gov) reopening things, and it included something like
"This is how those of us on the front line have been rewarded...I'm sick of holding the hands of your dying loved ones, something I'm going to be doing a lot more of because of this!
There have been 4 deaths in the county. I have no reason to think this girl has treated COVID-19 patients at all, much less any that have died, much less multiple (out of 4).

My wife is working her shifts, doing her damn job and yes, she's cashing checks that are quite a bit bigger than normal. Other than that, nothing has changed in our lives.

Nurse < Teacher
The cringiest part of all of it is seeing teachers trying like hell to get back attention from nurses. The long dramatic posts about missing THEIR babies and not knowing if they are ok, the holding up we miss you signs posts, memes about the struggles of doing zoom classrooms, teacher parades by kids houses like any kid wants to fricking see their teacher during this.... Their need for attention was always high, but it's really showing now

I’m just starting to see these posts and I agree. They are very needy

I agree with far right redistributionist rep Clay Higgins that the true heroes are the big banks.

I saw one of those the other day riding my bike with my son... Pretty cringe worthy...
If someone put that shite in front my house, it would come down with the swiftness...
Leave the sign at home and drop off a fifth of Jack...
