How do you let an 18-Wheeler know he has a flat tire?

I just saw a 18-Wheeler and he had a flat tire. This tire was flopping badly. It was clear the driver was just going to keep going until the tire falls completely apart and there are tire pieces all over the interstate. I pulled up next to him and got his attention. I did a circular motion with my finger and then closed my extended fingers to my thumb. The driver just looked at me like I was stupid. So I obviously failed. Is there another way to let 18-Wheeler drivers know they have a flat tire?

Pulled up next to a tanker that had a leaking hose once. We signaled to him but eveyone else that passed must have too. He was flicking us off and yelling. Must not have understood

I have a hard time believing that he didn't know...he might have been trying to get to the next exit.

That's probably the signal to let him know you wanted to lick his arse hole

If he has a flat tire he's no longer an 18 wheeler

You should change the title of the thread to

It's not called an eighteen tirer, it's an eighteen wheeler. Did one of the wheels fall off?

Wrongo, nice try though.

I drove trucks awhile. It's hard to notice a flat on the trailer, especially if it's an inside tire.

I would just flash him a note that says something like this:

hey bud, you have an issue and I want help...just pull over on the next dark road.
