Well, if this is the case, then he can possibly be PEC'd. Could certainly be CEC'd though.

And you have ignored the drug abuse question probably five times, so I'll just assume yes.

I had a cousin with paranoid schizophrenia. Thought all women were Amazons out to kill him. (f you knew his mother and sister you understood where some of that stemmed from too.)

Took about 20 years for him to get 100% disability after his medical discharge from the Army. (How great is that? Govt. takes a delusional crazy and trains them in multiple ways to kill people! Then turns them back out to the public with little to nothing for income and uses them for guinea pigs for every new brain med being developed.)

I was one of the few people to read his signs of yoyo-ing back and forth between reality and fantasy. Like I knew when he was blaring music he was trying to drown out the voices in his head telling him to kill. His drinking and drugging was trying to self medicate either the crazy or the side effects of the crazy pills.

Didn't help when he was the one to discover his buddy's murder in a deal gone bad. After that he would hide in the woods and watch his own home for hours before returning for meals or the night.

He died of heat stroke a few years ago during a record setting summer. Some of those brain meds mess with the body's ability to cope with temperature extremes.

This is not schizophrenia. This is also not dissociative disorder. This is what you call psychosis. Happens a lot with adderall (amphetamines) patients. If they drink alcohol with the drug it can cause short and long term psychosis. But yes. You’ll need serious help and possibly get his parents to admit him if you want to save him.

Sounds like he had WAY more than just a paranoid schizo.

You can't make such a definitive statement, even if you were a psychiatrist, with the limited info given. I've dealt with literally hundreds of clinically diagnosed schizo patients who showed similar behaviors to what the OP describes.

Adderall. Only drug I've known that he takes. Barely alcohol, church boy about "drugs", Adderall is prescribed, though he doesn't have the rx anymore, gets them through other channels

he's rational and coherent, not hyper. High strung & can rage, but most of the time relaxed, mellow, and jokes around like highschool

very intelligent and highly analytical. Just gets weirded out by privacy and collecting data about him

Well, if you really want to help, you'll need to get him PEC'd or CEC'd. A PEC would be the easier path, but he might not quite fit the bill. Either way he will need to be forcefully committed. He will never get better just by going see a doctor, unless his parents force feed him his meds. He needs to be committed, hopefully with a good Dr who can get him right enough before he leaves. Once he would get balanced back out he would be more willing to take his meds, once he is back in the real world.

Yep. Vast majority of schizo people are this way. Some are extremely intelligent. I'm not saying that this is what he is (I'm not a DR), but there is some similarities in what you are saying as in schizo patients I've seen.

It could also be other issues mentioned here, but based on the info given by you, I'm going to guess it's not.

Did you ask him why the government is spying on an unemployed dreg who lives with his parents?
What is so special the government is spying on you?

Or do you think he could be Jason Bourne?

Get his parents to get him inpatient psych treatment or have him committed if he refuses. He has paranoid schizophrenia.
