It never works for my son. Everytime we give him some he wakes up in the middle of the night and won’t go back to sleep. I’m sure it works for most kids though but not him.

This is what we used after the babies were getting out of their swaddle.

Yeah, I didn’t really use the shusher at all after the first couple of weeks, and even then it was hit or miss. That said, I have friends who swear by it, so I think it can work pretty well for some babies. At least probably worth a try for a desperate parent

I’ve tried shushing her myself on occasion. This is pretty close to her reaction:

Melatonin only helps get the kid to sleep. It doesn’t help them stay sleeping. Sometime it makes it worse bc it can cause nightmares. We used it on my oldest during some sleep regressions bc never more than 2 nights in a row bc he’d get nightmares after a couple days

Swaddle tight and give a normal feeding about 6:00 and a super feeding about 9:30. Keep it cool in the room. My 3 kids all were 8pm to 5 am sleepers by the time they were 6 month. It’s routine routine routine.

Have babywise on my bedside table.

I read the intro and knew we needed a routine.

We learned as we went along what worked and what didn’t. We bed shared for about 3 months. Did the bassinet for 1 and now sleeping great in her crib.

White noise machine

Rocking/feeding when they wake up. Be patient. Mind just screamed in my ear for 3 minutes then just stopped and was snoring within seconds.

Naps during day. If baby is overtired it’s harder for them to sleep at night.

We took ours out on drives or rocked him

Sometimes we used vibration in the crib to do it. We were lucky he slept pretty well.

Mine never slept longer than 2-3 hours until he was 8 months, then starting sleeping like a freaking pro.

Now, at 2 years the little guy sleeps from 7:30PM to 9:30-10:30AM everyday then naps for an hour or two around 1-2PM. I guess he’s catching up on all those sleepless nights he gave us for 8 months.

Those swaddle sacks and sound machine help some .... the swings with straps and music/lights helped us .... last resort is you rolling them in the stroller/car seat in the living room at 2 am.. never had to drive thank goodness.

Our little guy will turn 3 months old at the end of October. Not going to lie, the first 2 weeks were fricking miserable; like bad thoughts miserable

However, now, I’ll reiterate its what many have previously stated, “routine and schedule”. These can’t be overstated enough. He typically has bath time around 9:30, then fed, then put down to sleep. Routinely sleeps until at least 4:15-4:30 with every once in awhile a sleep until 5:30. That being said, daytime is a different story. Little guy is too curious and we’ve yet to find how we can get him down for at least 2 hour naps during the day.

My 2 week old love the ollie swaddle. After feeding, burp, change, then swaddle he goes out pretty quick. Wakes up every 3 hours to feed, change then back down for another 3.
