That’s not true karate

Real karate you learn to block and defend before you attack and you drill drill drill that repeatedly

Dude, if you have to ask how to fight bigger men, you don't need to be fighting. You have to be tough, mean, and confident. You aren't mean or tough if you ask. Not necessarily a bad thing.

isnt this a skill everyone should know

How much would you say of your posts are bullshite? like 90%? 80%?

In the other thread, you were complaining about having no money due to working 2 jobs and having DUI related costs (while continuing to fail court issued drug tests). You also complained about having no extra time to do anything else except worry about cheap spaghetti.

Watch Joe Pesci movies for tips. The element of surprise is equally important as utter savagery.

Lose weight. Too heavy at that height to fight effectively. You’ll be a sitting duck. Unless you can take a ton of punishment and strike well, you have to be nimble on your feet.

What I just described

The problem is like you mentioned too many dojos. Yes it’s great to learn discipline and respect, but the belt is just a belt. It’s the path and who your teacher and what their lineage is that matters. A good karate teacher will also teach a little grappling since most fights start with a huge overhand right and then a takedown

That’s why I enjoyed learning from my judo instructor in Shreveport. Yeah he was fat, way fatter than the op but he was a 6th degree red and white belt who could trace his lineage of teaching to jigaro Kano (the founder of judo)

For you, every day is a fight against diabetes.

At your size, I doubt you can go more than 1min at intensity, so your best shot is to go for the nuts.
