Have you been offshore? There's more redneck hicks from North LA, Mississippi, and Alabama than there are Cajuns.
That actually looks pretty accurate in regards to what a rig floor looks like. Even got the coveralls right for a transocean vessel. I'm just not a fan of Marky Mark teaching his daughter that oil comes from old dinosaurs buried in the earth.

Yep too bad the gulf was destroyed so now nobody can swim or fish in it.

This is really happening?
I thought it was a joke when someone told me that they were making a BP movie. Whats next, a IMAX 3D reenactment of Katrina?
The platform set was filmed in the Lowes parking lot in Chalmette over a period of a few months.

There were people I've known since childhood on the rig. I'll watch

That's what I said in the M/TV Board version of this thread.
"Sorry little girl, dinosaurs don't make oil."

They should have kept their well bore pressure higher than their formation pressure

It looks awesome.
I would think this is a story that most of you would want told.

Maybe Marky Mark wasn't from Port Fourchon. Maybe he moved there from somewhere else b/c the money was good.

I'm not sure if he is supposed to based on one guy or a combination of several but hopefully they talk about how the mourning wife started banging a new guy really quickly and got married a year later to someone else.

Anger at BP lasted about 6 months. Then all the baws circled the wagons around the industry that paid their livelihood and fell into line.

I don't understand why people would watch this turd, they profit off the death and hardship of so many lives
Same could be said about that recent movie where the guys "beat the banks" on the day the housing market collapsed, thanks for profiting when so many lost everything
frick you Hollywood

fricked many people over along the Gulf Coast.
It was terribly sad for the families involved, but the BP oil spill was a windfall for a majority of people along the Gulf Coast. If you didn't have a loved one injured/killed, then you were either unaffected or benefited. The term spillionaire exist for a reason.
