First line of article: An ExpressJet Airlines flight was diverted to the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Thursday evening after a pair of cockpit screens reportedly went blank before reaching its intended destination.

I mean..sure, he put the wrong city in the headline. But it's pretty clear how the mistake was made. I'd file this one as a typical typo/mental mistake and definitely not feel the need to make a thread about it.

IT's killing me too, baw. Why can't they just write what happened? Why did a writer and a flock of editors all make the same dumb mistake? I feel like such a victim of their nonchalant reporting efforts.

print journalists make like 30K a year and have virtually no full time staff while required to crank out articles 24/7 to fill websites/social media with ... and you're surprised they make mistakes?

These are the same thing. ExpressJet operates as United Express out of Bush.
The only mistake is putting Houston instead of Dallas, but it isn't awful, just proof that no one looked at it before approving it to submit.
