Shocking. People see right through this crap for what it is. But hey, we needed something to complain about right?

How do we stop it?

Easy. Put an end to social media.

I get that there are a few people making legit money at this, but it is at the expense of thousands of people losing money.
just like anything else, you get out what you put in. My wife works 60 hours a week selling clothes. The people who don’t make money with it don’t try to make money, it’s a shame they complain and try and sue because they suck at making money

A pyramid scheme requires failure. Otherwise, everyone would do it and the system would collapse once you couldn't add new people in

If I were benefiting from the pyramid scheme the way you are, I would defend and justify it too. Your unusual experience doesn't change the fact of what the company is and what it takes for money to be made. Everyone can't make money at it or the business collapses. The model is designed for a high rate of failure of its consultants.

It doesn't bother me. My wife doesn't sell it and doesn't really buy much of it. I laugh at people online who sell it. The end.

wow, my wife quit her job as a computer developer to sell the same clothes. She doesn't have the stress of her old job and is making more money. win/win!

the commissions are not where the consultants make money, they make their money on the sales of the clothes. If they don't work their business and find new people to sell to they won't sell clothes. My wife has a few people that are really good customers, but she is constantly finding new people to sell to. That is the key.

Does this include selling inventory to consultants down the line?

It's just a bunch of women preying on each others' insecurities to make a profit.

"Hey there fatty, does your husband think you look gross after putting on all that baby weight??? Buy some wraps and melt that shite away so maybe he'll love you again!".

I dunno why the OT hates it so much, it's like the ultimate form of fat shaming...other women.

no. they buy their clothes wholesale from the home office and then mark up and sell online, at vendor events, etc.

Hell, I'll share her posts too if that's the case.

Then the numbers don't add up. How much is the average profit per pair of leggings (after cost of inventory, shopping, etc.) are deducted?

Even making $20 per pair (probably way too high), one would have to sell 5,000 pair of leggings a year to net six figures.
