How do people still think in today's world that communism is better than capitalism

I didn't put this on the poli board because its not a political question. It's common fricking sense that people on both sides of the aisle should agree on. I mean every communist society has resulted in failure with most having some sort of genocide involved with it, whereas the most well known capitalist economy is the greatest nation to have ever existed? How do people argue against this?

Haven’t heard of people identifying as communist since the ‘80’s. A few socialists, with communist beliefs. Socialist seems like a less threatening term. Like they’re just social people.

In true communist states, the state controls what people learn by immersive propaganda. So how would anyone know this?
