How do I work back a recurring CC charge from the CC account?

I was paying my "1st of the month" bills and was reading one of my CC statement and saw a $60.00 payment to the NYT. Now I don't recall having a sub to the NYT and went through all of my main emails and didn't find an active account on the NYT with a subscription.
Is there a way I can call the provider and get some sort of information as to the account? If not, how do I cancel this sub moving forward without access to the account?

call Diners Club and stop the charges

Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. That will force the vendor... NYT... to prove the charge is legit. You don't have to prove it isn't legit. Put it on them. Credit card companies are pretty good about working with you.
Start there.

What card? I have a couple that will do an online dispute with nothing more than a couple of clicks.

Did you use their app? I know on android you can go to the play store and check all of your subscriptions.

Google the charge description on statement. Always works for me.

What kind of shitty lawyer can't Google a merchants customer service number?
No wonder you get dunked on repeatedly here.

this is the only way it stops ^^^^^^^^
credit card company cant do shite for you since you authorized the auto billing in the first place, only the biller, not you or the bank, cant stop the recurring charges.

It took about 5 seconds to make this thread to see if that was even a viable option instead of wasting potentially 45 to 60 minutes of my day waiting on hold.

You already dunked on yourself ITT so I'm not surprised you don't understand what those words actually mean

But this is not specifically what I made this thread for.
I want the cyber police to backtrace it to find the account information, not to cancel the account specifically
