I have a program that I can run it through and give you a 95% correct answer. The COE is the final say so...Go to COE web site,,wetland determinations. Form to fill out and send to them a with map. Small tract(1 to 3 acres+-) is free, large tracts are not. PS I am a Realtor and specialize in Wetland Bank acquisitions. Your realtor should have someone in their office to help you. Good luck.

Yeah, but I bet her headshots don't indicate this.

Crawfish burrows on it?

Such a shite indicator. If it's one of those big burrows like a painted devil crawfish makes, it shouldn't be used. Those things might be burrowing 4 to 6 feet into the ground. If it's burrowing 4 feet, that's not an indicator of wetland hydrology in my opinion.

Like others said, this is not definitive, but gives you an idea, and the Corps has final say. If you have Google earth, just download the kml layer for wetlands. Turn off everything except the wetland data box.

Dig a small hole and wait. Someone from the government will show up and tell you.

Pretty much everywhere south of Alexandria could be considered a wetlands if someone so much as pissed on it, a decent chunk of North La as well.

If you try to build on it, and Local government tells you no, but 3 months down the road, a "Not for Profit" Hospital builds a huge place in same spot. It's a wetland
