I graduated and was living at home with Mom and Dad in Lafayette. I was trying to find a job but spending every weekend with college buddies at LSU. I always stayed with one particular friend but he was going to NOLA that weekend and stayed with another friend. My wife was their upstairs apt neighbor who had two roomates and was dismissed as a band geek... (She really was)
We hit it off and I got a job in NE Texas the next month. She was from Shreveport so we continued things until we married 6 months later. 26 years ago...
I often wonder what would have happened if my best friend wouldn't have gone to NOLA that weekend.
