Too clingy. Wayyy too clingy. She was stalking me, so I ghosted her. This was after about 4 months or so.

I walked in
Another dude was there
Hung with one as large as my forearm
Balls deep in and out
Took about 5 seconds for initial shock to stop - he never stopped on her
I just turned around and left
Last I heard she was flat broke, addicted to prescription drugs and and could not keep a steady boyfriend for anything. I talked to her once a few months after - she apologized and I accepted her apology. That was it.
It worked great for me - met an amazing woman a couple years after that - have a couple kids and happily married. Funny how things work out.

I’ve been happily married now for almost 25 years. My last ex was my high school girlfriend. Dated serious the last two years of high school. She knew I was enlisting in the army and was good with it. After graduation I shipped off to Ft. Knox for basic. The whole time I’m there she’s sending letters and care packages. After basic graduation I came home for a couple weeks before being sent to Germany. The whole time I’m home it’s great, we’re in love, even talking marriage when she’s done with college and I can get a duty station in the States. So after leave is over I ship out to Germany. The first letter I get from her is a “Dear John” letter. Turns out the week after I shipped out to Ft. Knox (months ago by this point) she went to PCB with her friends. While in PCB she met a guy also on vacation down there from not far from where we lived. The two of them apparently spend the whole trip fricking each other’s brains out. The entire time i was at Knox she’s fricking this guy all while writing and sending care packages professing her love for me. She hides it when I come home, then once there’s an ocean between us she decides to come clean and tell me she’s “in love” with this dude.
