Serious question. Do you think it's better to "stay together for the kids" when you just yell and fight constantly, or effectively co-parent in 2 different, happy households?

Lazy version of "baby's mama," which actually is correct.

As a language decays, grammatical endings like the possessive "s" fall out of use. This has been accelerated to an unprecedented rate in modern English.

I'll leave it to the readers to decide how, why, and by whom this is being perpetrated.

My white inlaws have plenty of baby momma drama so it isn't a black thing.

I don't think that's a thing in households that use the term baby daddy

Jesus Christ you uppity fricks.

Yall never been in a conversation when someone is explaining a connection someone has to someone and they say.. in a semi-joking way "he is her baby's daddy".

So let's say a man and woman have a baby and they are not married. They break up. The woman marries another man, but the daddy of her child is still active in the kid's life. How do you describe that person? "That is the father of her child". Sure, but its just the "popular" way to say it.. "that's her baby daddy".

Why is that such a big deal? I understand there are times when you don't use that phrase, but its not uncommon for me to hear someone say this. Not saying I hear it every day or every week or something, but when I do.. I never really thought "OMG! Who says that? This is a big deal!"

Lyndon B Johnson started it. May he burn in hell.

The father, for most of history, was the rock, protector and provider. Women valued their virtue and what arises from it more when it meant their whelps would starve if they didn’t choose wisely. Societal institutions enforced this. The reasons for dowries, social codes, shaming.

When the government removes the responsibility as the father in encouraged irresponsible breeding

Like tribal tattoos, rock music, jazz, zoot suits, tweed clothing, hip hop, and any number of cultural trends, it started with the lower classes or a minority group and was soon adopted by the mainstream majority.

I blame Lyndon B Johnson and Planned Parenthood.

Isn’t Planned Parenthood’s goal to abort the word “baby mamma”? Put it in a blender and crush it. Pretend like it never existed?
