This.

One day in the future people are going to wonder how we ever made it without the X device for this, the Y device for that, and the Z device for the other. But the answer will be the same: humans are very tough and adaptable when it comes to survival and we aren’t acclimated to having the X, Y, and Z devices in 2022.

Hell, technology is advancing so quickly nowadays that we can kind of wonder how WE ever made it earlier in our lives without certain things.

Waiting on sales guy one for an estimate. Sales guy two is coming by tomorrow at lunch.

My wife said she was considering getting a hotel room tonight cause she can’t sleep. If that’s any indication of who can’t live without the A/C is…….

I've been out for two days. AC guy comes in the morning. It's not too bad right now but I can't imagine losing it in August

Dude a hurricane wiped out Galveston in the early 1900s. That is when Houston got big.

Y'all didn't have A/C in your dorms? In Louisiana? Holy shite. Probably took quite a bit of weed and booze to get through that.

I haven't had AC on my side of the house for about 2-3 months. I live in south Texas so it is not quite as bad as Louisiana. I have been fine although I feel like it does wake me up more in the middle of the night. MY fan is pretty strong too. The thermostat has been at 75-79

Architecture designed not to let hot air into the house, generally combined with not living in an area that is hot as Hell most times of the year.

Houston and Phoenix both owe their rise to prominence in the 20th century to the evolution of a/c systems

I remember in the late 90s Evangeline and Pentegon dorms didn't have ac. They were significantly cheaper than other dorms and kids managed with open windows and fans.
