not nearly as dangerous risking your life being an inner city police officer.

As told to me by a DWF Agent one time. "Imagine being by yourself way out in the sticks and telling some drunk hunter that shot one too many ducks that you are taking his Granddaddys shotgun away and he is going to have to pay a big fine. You are just never sure how that is going to go."

Usually working by yourself, dealing with people that are usually armed. They're the subject matter experts on fieldcraft, so they get called in on fugitive hunts. They run up against clandestine meth labs pretty often. It ain't all writing tickets for not having a life jacket.

An agent in Monroe was shot several times by a meth head. By some miracle he survived and is now 100% recovered. Google Tyler Wheeler shooting

I mean the vast majority of people you will interact with have guns.

I have a family member that is a cop in Mississippi. He's in the process of making the switch to green jeans right now. Said being a cop in this day and age is much more dangerous

Yeah, but sometimes you get to do a "water safety check" on a boat filled with bikini clad ladies while being interviewed by the local news.

John Nores was on Joe Rogan several months back. He's a Cali game warden turned paramilitary because of cartel operations in Cali public lands. Super Interesting.

You don’t seem to hear about them getting killed, but nearly everyone they deal with has guns, so the potential for danger is always there.
