I don’t think so, but yes a large number of them were Jews. I listened to an interesting podcast (Martyrmade) where the host goes into great detail why so many young Jewish men were in these radical, progressive groups. It’s really an incredible look back.

May have a little to do with the historical social status of Jews prior to the revolution.
I also suspect there were elements of life in the diaspora that contributed to abstract ideals of “community” more than the tangible, existing order.

This really is my favorite part. If it didn’t mean a total destruction of our great way of life, I’d be rooting for them to succeed just so they could all get smoked.
