Perhaps your husband can give you some pointers.

Take a look at the Dodge.....you may be impressed like I was.....for the money

This is the best advice. OP, looks like you are definitely OT poor. A Dodge 1/2 ton with a hemi will blow away all of those options you've listed above.

I have no experience with any of those little trucks you've listed since I own a 3/4 ton Chevy with a Duramax, but I know people who have 1/2 ton Dodge's with Hemi's and they all speak glowingly of the power and spunk the Hemi has.

last truck before current was an F150, went thru three transmissions.
traded it in on a GMC Sierra, it’s falling apart around me

once I get it out the shop I’m going to trade the GMC in on a jeep gladiator if I can find one I like. Won’t tow 6000 but I don’t need it to

My brother in law just got the new Nissan. Nice truck. He loves it

I got one in October. I love it but they are not going to be anything less than MSRP (if not more) for another year or so since its the first new model in like 70 years.

Or because there is a massive supply chain issue and no new vehicles have sold below MSRP for nearly a year now.

I recognize all of those CAN tow 6k lbs but it’s gonna suck. You’ll be pushed all around the road towing that much weight with those trucks.

Not if you're equipped properly. I easily pulled a 5000lb camper with a jeep cherokee that had a 5000lb towing capacity. It wasn't a problem at all.

The ones at work haven't lasted and are junk. I hate them. Everyone hates them. The engines have been good. Everything else shite.

Good post. I'm leaning Nissan as well but right now, you can get some pretty good deals on 2021 rangers and they'll pull about 7500lbs.

Yeah I don't want a full size truck. They're just too big and I often have to park in confined spaces.

Just went through this exercise and wound up with a Tacoma.

The Nissan wasn’t out yet, but it wouldn’t have been an option because it’s year one on a redesign.

The Colorado… I really didn’t like it.

The Ranger… better interior than the Tacoma. The turbo 4 felt great but I was leery of future issues. But the one thing that just threw me to a solid no was how bumpy it was. It would bounce at the slightest provocation.

The Tacoma has an odd transmission, gets worse mileage, and it is a shade more expensive (not by much bs a Ranger). But I know it will do what it needs to and it will last a good long time.

Put the Tacoma back in the options. It’s not that much more.

In the same boat this past weekend. Test drove the Tacoma, Frontier, and Ranger. Easy decision to get the Ranger.

Fine, I'm a Nancy boy but if there's a bigger pussy truck out there than the Ridgeline, by all means point it out.

That's the sorta truck you drive when you and your "partner" need to pick up something from Crate and Barrel.

I've driven 2100 miles with it and have averaged 24.5 mpg. I towed my boat once (total weight about 1200 lbs) and it was fine. I have the XLT with 2wd. The interior is pretty nice. The ride can be a bit rough but I expected that. I was planning on getting a 4wd but figured I'd use the 4k I saved on a four wheeler instead. I loaded it down with my dog and my hunting gear and went to north Mississppi in it so I did spend a long time in it. I was comfortable.

My brother has a 2018 Tacoma and I prefer the ride/interior of the ranger to the taco. I haven't been in a newer taco, though.

I went with the Ranger over the Tacoma mainly because of the price difference. A 6 cylinder 2wd Tacoma would have been at least $10k more if I could even find one. The towing capacity is similar but I don't tow anything heavy so that wasn't a big concern. The size of the Ranger is perfect for me. I'm not a big guy so I don't need a bigger truck. It's nice being able to reach in the bed. I wanted a maverick originally but couldn't wait on one.

Any specifics you want to know?

That's actually pretty good. Does it have heated outside mirrors? I can't get a clear answer on that?
