I'm 37 and in the very beginning stages of thinning in the front. I will shave it all if I get past 03. Is it worth using drugs, shampoos, etc.? Or is hair transplant surgery the only thing that really works?

I've heard finasteride and minoxidil work very well. That is if you want to go the pharmaceutical route, they're very well-tolerated drugs.

I've got a full head of hair at 36. I'm not too worried about it as the men in my family have never had an issue with baldness/hair loss. With the exception of my uncle. And have my suspicions he was adopted or my Nana had a fling later in life. He's significantly younger than his 3 older siblings and looks nothing like them (and they all look alike. A lot.)
I will say, though, the gray hairs have started much earlier than I expected. Around my temples and in my beard. That is a wake up call that I'm no spring chicken anymore.

I only have about 5 strands of hair on the right side of my head but they are about 4 feet long and I wrap them around and i looks pretty good. I can't go swimming though.
