Lived in a 3 bedroom apartment at Plantation Trash off of Highland. We had 5 guys living there so the rent was like $75 each. Later moved into a 2 bedroom apartment in Teakwood Village.

I got lucky.
I had some pretty cool apartments.
Thinking back about it, I’m laughing at the people that would choose to stay with us and just live on the couch for like a month at a time. They would throw in for the light bill and stuff like that so we were cool with it.
Those were some really great times

Lived in a 2 bedroom house next to what is now Bogies. Lived there 5 years paid rent about 6 months total. Didn’t know who to send it to, so we didn’t. Thought about sub-leasing it and moving somewhere nicer.
No central air just one window unit. Central heat but rarely worked. Roof leaked too. Had lots of mice. Back then across the street was all woods.
Good location good memories.

Lol. We lived in Trakwood Village for most of my college years. ?? This was in mid 90s so none of the nicer college apartments weren’t built yet. It was bad, but not as bad as today. It looks like a section 8 sanctuary now.

Power 1st semester. Tore that down and moved us to Hatcher... hole but close to math building. Moved to teakwood for a year, was adequate except for mice. Moved to townhouse between gardere and blubonnet. Roomate was a pig and destroyed the kitche and bathroom. Last year at a nice place near gates on higland. Nice rotation

Not bad. Only, your half a mile away from being shot if you’re walking around at night. There were multiple car breakins when I was there.

Freshman Dorms were like living in the Calliope projects pre-Katrina
First house, had holes in the floor and no insulation what so ever, but was in the middle of everything and practically on campus
Second house was on 3 acres, dirt cheap run down two story, but we had parties which are now stories still passed on

McVoy ‘06-07 when it was systematically destroyed on a weekly basis. Co-ed with no RA desk, cut door magnets to allow access for all, general mayhem - good times (if anyone was a student back then may remember a couple Reveille articles talking about the mayhem/cost. IE, geese caught and released on girl’s floor, concrete poured down first floor drains which led to discovery of asbestos, spray painted walls of a recently let go fan favorite LSU janitor). Fond memories
Commons after all the awesome parties stopped - shite
Brooke hollow- AM mart sandwiches, hungry howies, and Tigerland - good times

Lived in a badass townhouse in oxford pretty close to campus.
I never understood how some guys I knew would rent these shite hole houses when there are tons of newer construction townhouses and condos being built left and right. The rent is pretty much the same as well.

having a house is way better if you like to party. if you are connected to somebody else you have to be quiet AF.
the house with the mice in the OP was in westhaven behind albertsons on bluebonnet. When we would have parties we would black out all of the windows on the front of the house, lock the garage door down, and put a couch in front of the front door so nobody could go in or out. We would have people enter by going through the back door. We had them park away from the house. once we started doing that parties didn't get busted because the house just looked dark when cops were driving around.

I lived in what is now Spencer Callahan’s office in the 90s. It was a dump but it was cheap and we had a blast there. Out of 3 of us, I was the only one that didn’t fail out of school when we lived there.... and I came very close. If Callahan only knew the fricked up shite that used to happen in that house.
