I get angry just thinking about it. I feel like I was supposed to have been born in the South.

those seem like very conservative heat index numbers for houston. usually in mid july, it feels like its in the mid 100s by mid day

The heat index has been around 105-110 lately. 99 would be a welcome feels like

By heading to the Prop Stop of Arizona (Lake Havasu) after work. Plan on being in the water most of the day as highs should be around 108-110.

Me too. I'm pretty sure my Scottish genetics weren't meant for this shite.

Vacationed there with friends on Flathead Lake a few summers ago. Stunningly gorgeous, super friendly people, not overcrowded (looking at you Colorado), amazing weather in the summer. Montana is amazing.

And every single day in the summer is sunny and low 80s. It's crazy. Those winters though...

I'm thinking I will get a place in Charleston for the winters and a place on flathead or whitefish lake for the summers. Just gotta find that spare 2 million for the Montana place.

You guys can get away from it and still be outdoors. But you've gotta drive at least an hour to get up in the elevation, no?

Depends on where you go and traffic, but in general yes at least an hr is a good generalization. Foothills a little less.

It does on me. Keeping my arse inside until it drops down to 70 degrees on Tuesday.

We're already at a heat index of 100 right now.

Little rock

When I was just a lad growing up in green bay, we were made to watch a video in school called "Banging in Little Rock" and it was intended to keep us on the straight and narrow. Not sure why that stuck with me but I never joined a gang so maybe it worked.

1. Stay inside.

2. Enjoy air conditioning that the Good Lord has provided.
