We're already at a heat index of 100 right now.

So are we, like everyday. Of course it's expected, we're used to it, and everywhere has AC.

It's the high minimum temperatures that are really dangerous. Places like DC, NYC, Chicago not dropping below 80 put the elderly and homeless in particular danger.

The corn belt is going to be miserable. Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple 120+ heat index readings out of Iowa. NYC will have dew points at or above 80 this weekend (it's uncommon to get them that high in Baton Rouge).

Not your friend, hoss.

High of 95 today in Chicago. 90 right now. Going to go stand outside in a bit waiting for beer. Likely bringing an umbrella. Smart move or trashy?

Yankees are hilarious in the heat.

Probably not quite as hilarious as Southerners when the weather turns just the slightest bit not hot, but hilarious all the same.

Those temperatures would be a cold front compared to earlier this week.

The humidity sucks here in the Ohio Valley too. And it’s sitting above 80 in the evening (like you said).

Our larger issue is it tends to also come with air quality advisories. The air pollution just hangs here in the valley.

It feels like a S La summer here in NE Ohio and folks are complaining. It's only for 4 days and next week it's back to low 80's high 70's for highs and no humidity.

When you get these big hot high pressures, air doesn't mix upward. So it all just hangs out near the ground.

My dad has the heat cranked all the way up.
He said something about fighting fire with fire, but it wasn't working for me.
