Yeah, but he funneled it to politicians.

But remember, the IRS is about to come after you if you don’t have some receipts from selling something you bought 15 years ago

The way I can see this playing out is the DNC will push for some kind of new legislation to prevent something similar from occurring in the future and will hail SBF as the hero who brought the pitfalls to light.

Same reason as always. He gave enough to both sides that they are all in the same boat.

FTX billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried funneled dark money to Republicans

quote:

“I donated to both parties. I donated about the same amount to both parties,” Bankman-Fried told the crypto commentator and citizen journalist Tiffany Fong.

Bro, hardly any f the bank execs that caused the last housing market crash and subsequent recession were punished for it, and they operated in a highly regulated industry. This country has a terrible track record of holding the wealthy and powerful accountable for their transgressions.

Yep. We shouldn’t expect any different.

I have no doubt some RINO's got paid off too. We found that out when Trump was impeached for pointing out that the Ukraine was a money laundering scheme for the Uniparty.

Is there anywhere that we can find who he gave to? I don't believe anything the guy says.

The banks didn’t cause it. They ended up a major part, but not the cause. The cause was the mortgages in the first place. Way too many sub-prime loans flooding the market by sleazy mortgage agents and no one cared because there were no macro views at the time that correctly looked at the risk factors

CNBC

quote:

"I didn't ever try to commit fraud on anyone," Bankman-Fried said. "I saw it as a thriving business and I was shocked by what happened this month."

quote:

Sorkin asked Bankman-Fried why FTX and Bankman-Fried even had access to customer money. "I wasn't running Alameda, I didn't know exactly what was going on, I didn't know the size of their position," Bankman-Fried said. "A lot of these are things I've learned over the last month [in the days leading up to bankruptcy.]"

So basically, he’s going to pin the whole thing on the gremlin who ran Alameda

Show me evidence or shut up. The interim CEO transitioning the company into bankruptcy also did Enron and said this was the absolute worst thing he’s ever seen in his entire career. All of the executives in Enron either killed themselves or went to prison.

People have gotten away with pyramid schemes forever. If you're stupid enough to play the game, you deserve what you get. The early "investors" always win, or as you say, "get away with it."

Correct, and the biggest thieves in the process, Franklin Raines, got off with over 60M in personal wealth. Despite being a criminal, he was praised by people like Maxine Waters, and Obama had him as a guest on stage during the immaculation. Anyone who dared call out Raines was called a racist.

I remember it very well.

It's not crazy at all when you consider who he was in bed with (figuratively, not literally ).

It's the same reason Epstein was able to get away with his shite for so long...he was working with very wealthy and high-up people in government. People who have the power make the rules, and his mutually-assured destruction approach to it is what kept him free and operating for so long. It's also what eventually got him killed too, but still...he did that shite for DECADES.

Well the MSM is literally the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party. You don’t realistically expect them to go against a guy who laundered tens of millions through Ukraine of for them do you?

Tin foil Hat

THEY will slap him on the wrist. THEY will keep him around behind the scenes to set up another scheme like this, except this time, it will be kept under cover, and THEY will make billions.

He's too valuable to them. I say this because if it were any other person, they would already be in custody and buried under the jail.
