The traffic on the main artery that is 518/Broadway is completely ridiculous.

I'm on the west side too. Shadow Creek. I avoid 518 east of 288 at all costs. The bad thing is there is no end to it in sight.

I think that is due to the ridiculous 51-49 alcohol laws. Gotta get rid of that. Hell, we just recently finally got liquor stores.

Exactly! Deep Ellum is the only place in Dallas that i've noticed that has some flavor. That and Oaklawn.

Clearly haven't been to West Plano or Frisco.

I don't give a shite about the Dallas vs Houston argument. I have visited Dallas and find it to be a nice place.

I do take issue with a dumbfrick who claims that there are trucknuts everywhere and crime is so out of control that it is unbearable, when in fact the area where he lives is better than his beloved Austin.

Dallas is extremely clean and nice. But everything just reeks of try-hard, faux pretentiousness. Very cookie-cutter.

Houston is a gigantic sprawl with pockets of extremely awesome/cool places, but also extremely trashy/ghetto areas.

Inner-loop houston > Dallas
Houston burbs >>> Dallas Burbs

Houston food options >>>> Dallas food options
Houston Living >>> Dallas in general

Couldn't have said it better...i might've changed a few things here and there

I had a company dinner downtown Monday. I left my house at 5:00 and was there at exactly 5:30. Going home took me 22 minutes. The place we ate at was off of Allen Rd near 45, south of I10.

Ah ha! You just took down a common complaint about Houston.

Unfortunately, there is no way you're telling the truth.

You are talking out of your arse. You say you are talking about about Houston but keep referring to the the trash in the woodlands and the proximity of crime in the area.

Go take your pretentious hippy arse back to Austin.

I'm far from pretentious and I'm not talking out of my arse. You just don't know how to comprehend what you're reading. Houston crime is insane, so much so that it's spilling over into the burbs. I will take my arse back to Austin. Sorry, not Austin, but somewhere outside of Austin. I was in Cedar Park before, I'm hoping to get closer to Liberty Hill when I return.

What's amusing is that when you take Dallas out of the picture, most of the country views Houston exactly this way

It is getting cluttered but compared to how the height used, in a sad way given my church is in the heights as well as dad's old house and older folks, to look its a lot better and cleaner. Just dont expect to have a front or back yard lol

You must not get out much around the area then.

I live in Addison and pretty much can get into something within 15 minutes in either direction.

Yes you are.

How about you walk outside and take a dozen random pictures. Post them here so we can see all of those truck nuts, the crime, the trash and rain that you are seeing.
