That’s dumb. Would any place be open if there wasn’t a demand? Stop already. This is their jobs and they need to make money. Are u saying people who own businesses don’t want to open back up? There was an article on the WAFB website yesterday about a nail salon that CAN NOT wait to open up because they have fricking bills they still have to pay.

Yes, a business is offering a good or service that the public wants/needs. That is usually how businesses function.

There is always a demand for haircuts

outside of tp and meat shortages, the absolute biggest complaint I’ve seen on social media is the inability to get a haircut

I'm just a cynic who thinks most things in this age of social media attention whoring are done for attention.
I fully support businesses opening up. I badly need a trim up myself.

BTW, a haircut/hair maintenance can be more than just about vanity. It can be a matter of your overall health too.

Which is annoying af. I'm at resupply time for paper towels and Costco was out because people keep hoarding. And now it's 3 per customer on meat.

You know you take 2nd place to me when it comes to being a cynic but even I see the absurdity in saying it's OK to pack Home Depot but not OK for a small beauty salon to accept customers.

True.

I spend my days in packed grocery stores all over the city that are a way bigger risk than just about anywhere else. The curve still flattened. It's time to start to open for sure.

They have lives and families to support.
Not sure why you are so adamantly against them being able to support themselves and their families.

Because he has no issue supporting himself and his family right now.
Just like almost every other person advocating keeping things shut down.

I'm not. I'm saying if the barber shop owners weren't feeling the demand for haircuts from their customers, they wouldn't be opening. And that demand is fueled by vanity. My facebook feed and Next Door app is littered with people complaining about not being able to get a haircut.
I absolutely have empathy for the barbers not earning a paycheck right now. I sent mine advance payment on my next 3 haircuts because she's a sole proprietor and a single mother(though she sent it back saying she was approved for unemployment and didn't need it right now).

Sounds like they saw the business would be there and worth it to open.
It can be both, you know that right? Vanity fuels the demand which then shows the business owner he can take the risk and open because the business will pour in and he can keep his shop.
