This doesn't look good for parts of Kingwood and Humble...

quote:

55.2 Major lowland flooding continues with up to 6 inches of water is over the 800 block Hamblen Road adjacent to the Kingwood Cove Country Club Golf Course with many homes in the Bellau Woods and Treasure Cove subdivision are flooded.

54.4 Major lowland flooding continues with homes along Riverview Drive in River Ridge subdivision upstream of the gauge begin to flood.

I have a flight out of IAH tomorrow afternoon. What are my chances the roads will be open to get to the airport?

As long as we don't get anymore heavy down pours I think the water should drain fairly well and you be in the clear. The later in the afternoon the better I would imagine. Good luck.

Harris County's FWS is incredible. Truly.

That Inundation Map feature is a good tool. Many areas along the San Jacinto are screwed.

If you have to take 10 through Beaumont and Winnie it could be a problem still tomorrow.

For Allison, the mass flooding started overnight Friday into Saturday. For Harvey, Saturday into Sunday.

This morning, nearly everyone went to work without realizing the flooding to come. Then they have to find a passable route home, pick up kids, etc.

I-10 East to downtown is closed at 610. It's a parking lot on I-10 E. Uptown is littered with flooded out cars.

I just drove from the Galleria area to the Willowbrook area. I hooked up with B8 at I10 and I10 W to Katy was clear. The interstate behind you is closed.

Not sure about 10 from BW8 to Katy.
But ABC13 shows a completely impassable 10 at 610

Damn they are showing I45 N around 610 N and it's flooded really bad. Cars completely submerged on the interstate.

Allison, people got stuck during rush hour home along I-10. hey couldn't go forward or backwards. I was inside the loop and it rained incredibly hard at 3-4 different times from friday around 6pm through 2am. Oddly, Katy and Sugar Land area hardly had any rain. Allison still may be the hardest I've ever seen it rain at any specific moment around 10pm at Richmond and Weslayan area.
