Still fricked here in katy. We are lucky to have moved the mother in law up here. Her senior living apt has power in katy. Near Nottingham.

Does my heart good to know that of the 1.5 million that were out of power only 75k are storm damage related. Mother frickers.

Any chance I can drive from IAH to Baton Rouge this evening?

IDK what its like in La but once the sun is out for a bit the roads in Houston should clear from whatever ice is on them. It neve left the 20s yesterday and it happened. I dont know about the conditions east of here however.

Oak forest here. Never lost power. Trying to figure out which “essential” building I’m near that made me fortunate enough for that.

From my limited driving around in my area yesterday I wouldn’t dare drive more than a couple miles. Sheer ice in multiple places and bridges will definitely be iced over

Fairbanks/Bingle checking in, power restored about 6 this morning. Colder than fricking an Eskimo.

Any one have the spot price on electricity yesterday or today in Texas for those crazy flexible power plans that are tied to demand?

I can remember one time in recent memory demand was so great that some people were stuck paying 9 dollars a kilowatt hour.

Anyone with the free nights and weekend package said frick it it’s free after 9 pm we are turning the heat up to 80?

A buddy of mine has Griddy and said he was getting raped.

Early yesterday he said he was at $6.88 a kilowatt.

Hou_Lawyer --> Sorry to hear.

I'm in The Heights too. We have power (never lost it). Turned the water off at the meter last night. Turned it on this morning, no water in the house. I think a gate valve coming into the house is frozen.

Hair drier on at as we speak.

Checking from Spring Valley still no juice. CP is incorrectly reporting the neighborhoods on their tracker which is strange.

Hope you guys are hanging in there! Where’s my baw supahdave? I want to trade him some warmth for some coffee

My bros water heater is in the attic. His wife had both cold and hot trickling last night upstairs so water is flowing out of both upstairs but only out of the cold side downstairs.

Rice Military-still have power...like someone else said...wondering what piece of critical infrastructure I'm near that has allowed power on our grid to stay on throughout all this.
