Any thoughts on kemah/seabrook?
Nice area. If you're working Bayport you'll want to be on the Seabrook/North side of Clear Creek. 146 has a huge ongoing project that fricks with traffic almost daily

Best thing about Midtown is that it’s centrally located to all of the above mentioned areas.. Downtown, Eado, Heights, Upper Kirby etc..
Midtown you can walk to a grocery store, banks, cleaners, bars, Specs Flagship store, soon to be WholeFoods... walk to an Astros or Rockets Game.. catch the metro rail and you’ll be at the Texans Game too. Just wish the City would take care of the homeless and pan handlers.. they are the worse.

This thread is so overdone. This exact question may be the single most recurring topic (maybe next to teachers fricking their students) on the OT... and I think I even made just such a post when I moved to Houston

Kemah/Seabrook - great spot if you're working in Pasadena, terrible for Katy.
Also great spot if you like fishing, boating, sitting at waterfront bars.

you DONT want to be 25 and single, and live anywhere near Pasadena or Katy.

Live inside the loop. Period.
Heights, Eado, midtown, museum district are all good.
You looking to rent or to buy? Especially if you're willing to rent out rooms, buying would be a great option.
quote:As mentioned earlier, you'll be going against traffic, so not terrible.
doesn't seem practical for daily commuting
