HOUMA, La. — Authorities say a Houma woman faces second-degree murder charges after shooting a man early Thursday morning and driving him to a hospital where he later died

The Houma Police Department said the shooting happened before 2 a.m. at the Chateau Terrebonne Apartments. Police say Victoria Garrick, 29, shot Henry Boyd, 33, during a fight in one of the apartments. Investigators say she then dropped him off at the hospital before driving off.

How, in 2020, do people still not know that a blue background is a license picture?

She would have helped him more by not shooting him

I consider myself reasonably intelligent and I didn't realize it. Never really had a reason to think about it.

i was in the emergenc6 room in Houma after being hit with a beer bottle.

A car pulled up on the ramp and three big men grabbed a skinny woman out of the backseat and hustled her into the entrance shouting “ been a shooting, been a shooting”.
They flopped the woman on a gurney and started looking for a gunshot wound.

When the staff could not find it they said “ she hasn’t been shot”. One of the guys said “ not her,her sister shot herself in the haid” “we left her at the house, she’s daid “. “ This one passed out when she saw her sister shoot herself. “

I would have loved to see it at that time. I have seen some old USGS Topographical maps that showed structures. Their wasn’t many folks around.

Houma was nice in the 60’s,70’s and early 80’s.

Houma was great in the 80s aside from oilfield crash. I grew up in a mixed neighborhood. Played in the woods, played football in a big field, basketball in our driveway. Fished in Bayou Terrebonne and the Intracoastal. Had black, white, mexican and Vietnamese podnas that I'm still friends with today. I was born in 77, lived there till 2004. Wouldn't move back.
