The one in the middle is the Ducros Plantation in Terrebonne Parish, definitely not Thibodaux.

I appreciate that you are taking up for your home town, but there's a large concensus here and it's for good reason. I had to GTFO of there for the betterment of my family.

Pretty sure the first two aren't in Thibodaux.

And if we are playing that game I always thought Ardoyne in Houma was awesome. Doesn't take away from the fact that everything else sucks.

The good reason is that there are more Thibodaux posters than Houma posters, and people from Thibodaux are notorious for thinking there shite doesn't stink.

Not enough up votes to be given for this statement .
Another day, another thread bashing Houma on td- par for the course.
Houma may not be a charming gem, but it is a better town. Houma / thib ppl comparing cities are much like the Saints and Falcons fan bases arguing over which is the least historically crappy franchise-

BUT MC was a booming place in the late 70's and early 80's.....

Oil dude... MC put all their eggs in one basket.. When I moved there in 1980 MC had 18,000 plus population.. It now has around 12,000... That's A HUGE drop off.......... not A bad little town I guess...back then.. Now its not much at all........

I'm from Las Vegas. If you knew how critical I was of the area you'd have a better context of my stance on the place which is that it is not dying.

As long as we are splitting hairs here technically that plantation is in an area called ardoyne. Which sits between Houma and McBride. Yes the ones I posted are in Schriever. Which is less than three minutes from downtown thibodaux. Golly

I'm originally from Berwick, and it really is a decent town to grow up in, especially considering what's around it. MC might as well have been 30 miles away even though it was across the river. We rarely went there.

The Rathskeller is legit though. LINK

being from down there, it's Thibodaux, by a mile... Houma is bigger, has more to do, but is full of trashy people... Thibodaux has a personality to it, as well...

but Raceland has both of them beat....
