Mississippi is the fattest state in America, with two in five adults obese or morbidly obese, a report revealed Tuesday amid mounting warnings over the country's health.

Telephone surveys of more than 400,000 people nationwide showed the Magnolia state had the highest rates of obesity followed by West Virginia and neighboring Alabama.

President Joe Biden will reveal his plans for tackling obesity this September, and has already set targets of improving physical activity and reducing diet-related diseases — like type 2 diabetes — nationally.

His plan is already in motion. Food shortages and inflation should take care of the fatties swiftly.

1. Stop saying big is beautiful/healthy
2. Food stamps only cover relatively healthy stuff

Thats the plan. Turn a negative into a plus.

Biden’s “accomplishments” will be the windowdressing for our hardship

Being a Mississippian, I doubt the number is 39.7% obese. I sincerely believe it’s higher.

Why is it that poor people are fatter? I know cheaper food is not as healthy, but you would think they would be more active than people from classes above them.

It's a telephone survey, which means (1) it's full of sampling bias, and (2) whatever negative things they are asking about are underreported.

I don't think most poor people are known for great decision making

Not really true. "Convenient" food is not healthy. Cheap food can be both healthy or unhealthy.

McDonald's is damn near $10-$12 per person these days. I can feed a family of 4 chicken quarters, a starch, and a vegetable for the same cost.

Fatties would have to put down their food to answer as well

They are lazy, undisciplined and make poor life choices.
