Louisiana for red beans and rice

I like Tiger Sauce on red beans but it's not a great general purpose sauce

El Yucateco FTW! The GOAT!

Tabasco - Perfect in gumbo, on raw oysters, in ketchup based BBQ sauces

Louisiana - Red beans and rice / fried chicken, hard to find one better

Crystal - Good mixed in potato salad and on muffulettas

Tabasco is the GOAT. Put it on everything. Louisiana is second. Crystal is trash

I'll add my vote for Crystal. I'd been a Louisiana guy for 20 years but finally came around a couple of years ago. It's superior.

Sorry if Germans, but,
Have you ever noticed that in just about any movie restaurant table scene you will see a bottle (sometimes it is just a portion of the distinctive top of the bottle, I will admit) of Tabasco? Makes me think their marketing department is VERY good.

For some reason, it’s popular to hate on Tabasco. I don’t get it. Tabasco has the best flavor.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Tabasco Family Reserve is my favorite. Crystal is great too. Tabasco Garlic is also terrific...esp. on pizza or spaghetti meat sauce. Tiger Sauce is also the sh*t on eggs and chicken.

If I just want some heat i like Louisiana...nice pleasant heat that doesn't overwhelm the taste of whatever I'm eating it on. Tabasco flavor is so distinct i only use it when i really want that Tabasco flavor. I'm not hating on Crystal either but just don't use it much.

Tl;dr Louisiana>Tabasco >= Crystal

I like all 3 for different foods. That said, I usually have all 3 on hand, and Crystal always goes fastest, because I like it on more foods than the othes (though Louisiana is close enough to Crystal to be a good substitute.)

Crystal is hard to top. Gets the job done without overwhelming the actual food.

My wife works at corporate (Southeastern Mills). She's the Senior Food Safety Specialist and travels to Louisiana and Salt Lake City about every other month.

Wondering if you may have run across her.

Crystal is the Coors light of hot sauces, Imho.

No matter what you have to have Tabasco for Bloodymarys, red Cocktail sauce, and oysters.

We love Tiger Sauce. It's not super hot but has a delicious flavor.
