This is bull shite. I'm in C sections all day long and they do push skin to skin on everybody. I've never seen another nurse come in for this. This process only last a few minutes at the most. I will ask tomorrow if patients are billed extra for this "service".

Considering that our hospital wouldn't let me carry our daughter out of the hospital in her carrier as the nurse pushed my wife out of the hospital in a wheelchair, I believe it. The nurse said it was hospital policy that the father can't carry the baby out.
My wife had a c-section so she couldn't carry the baby. I looked at the nurse and asked if she was kidding. My wife told me to just drop it and I handed the baby and carrier to the nurse and I pushed my wife out of the hospital.

Why would a hospital charge this? You have to have some dealings with this.
